Admissions Process

Registration and re-registration for PS, JK and K opens Monday, December 3rd at 7:30am.


Re-registration for first through eighth grade begins on Monday, January 7th at 7:30am.


Age requirements:

• The Preschooler must be 3 before September 1

• The Junior Kindergartner must be 4 before September 1

• The kindergartner must be 5 before September 1

• The first grader must be 6 before September 1


The following are required in order to register a new student:

• The completed registration form

• The birth certificate

• The baptismal certificate (if applicable)

• A non-refundable check for $600 family registration fee payable to Sacred Heart School


Acceptance process:

• Current school families have first priority

• Parish members without students currently at SHS have second priority

• Other families will be offered remaining open spots


The following is due the first day of school:

• A physical examination for every Preschooler, Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 6th grade student, as well as all children involved in sports through Sacred Heart

• Updated immunization records for all students

• Complete dental examination for all kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 6th grade children

• Eye examination report filled out by an optometrist or an ophthalmologist for all children entering Kindergarten and any children transferring from out of state

• Physical, dental, and vision examination to be on file for all new students


Forms are available on the school website. Transfer students from other schools must provide copies of their academic records. The form to obtain these records is on the school website.


A grade will be split when a reasonable number has been enrolled and various factors have been weighed. When there are more applicants than there are spaces available, a waiting list is established according to the order in which the applications are received. Exceptions to this policy shall only be considered under special or extraordinary circumstances. This consideration shall be made at the discretion of the Pastor, the Principal, and the School Board. Sacred Heart School endeavors to educate students within the limits of the school's programs and facilities. While Sacred Heart School strives to meet the needs of each student, children with severe learning disabilities or behavior disorders may not be able to be adequately serviced. The school facilities are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Sacred Heart School admits students of any race, color, sex, nationality, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students. This also applies to the administration of educational policies, athletic programs, and other school-administered programs.
