Nestled in the heart of Winnetka, Illinois, Sacred Heart School is a private Catholic school dedicated to nurturing the hearts and minds of students from age three through 8th grade. As a ministry of Divine Mercy Parish and a member of the Archdiocese of Chicago, our institution has been providing an exceptional academic foundation since 1902, deeply rooted in values, faith, and service.

We are now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 academic year.

For parents considering Kindergarten or 1st grade at Sacred Heart next year.

Catholic Schools Week Open House:

Sunday, January 26th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

To begin the application process, please submit the following documents through our online enrollment platform:

  • New Student Application
  • Birth Certificate
  • Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)
  • Non-refundable Registration Deposit of $600 per Family
 

Admissions Priority

Admissions priority is given as follows:

  1. Families with a child currently enrolled at Sacred Heart School.
  2. Parish members without children currently enrolled at Sacred Heart School.

Admissions Timeline

Admissions decisions will be emailed to applicant families within two weeks of receiving complete application materials. Once accepted, families have one week to confirm their spot.
 

Early Childhood Age Requirements:

  • Preschool: Children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2023.
  • Junior Kindergarten: Children must be 4 years old by September 1, 2023.
  • Kindergarten: Children must be 5 years old by September 1, 2023.

 

Required Forms

The following forms are due before the first day of school for all new students:

  • Physical Examination Form
  • Immunization Records
  • Dental Examination Form (for students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade)
  • Eye Examination Report (for students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade)
