Student Council

The purpose of the Student Council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects.  In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests, and concerns with the school-wide community. Student Council officers set a good example for the student body and encourage good citizenship. With their great enthusiasm, they generate student interest in many activities and unite our school through a spirit of cooperation and service. Any student who is interested in leadership, organizational behavior, event planning, or becoming more involved in the school is welcome to run for office in the spring.

During the month of December Student Council planned their annual candy gram sale. Candy grams are sold during lunch. Students can purchase candy canes for their friends, and they are distributed to all students the week before Christmas break. Student Council worked very hard on the planning and sales throughout the month and were excited to bring smiles to all of the students at Sacred Heart while also giving back to those in need. This year all proceeds from the sales will be going to Toys for Tots.
