Service & Outreach

At Sacred Heart, we are passionate about putting our faith into action through various charitable service projects and outreach opportunities throughout the school year.

Grade-Level Service Projects

Each grade leads a unique and age-appropriate service project annually, such as:

  • Planting for Elderly Parishioners: Helping beautify spaces for our senior community members.

  • Collecting Coats for Families in Need: Providing warmth to those who need it most.

  • Bringing Supplies to St. Columbanus: Supporting our sister parish with essential items.

Community Outreach

Our students engage in meaningful activities to support those in need:

  • Feed My Starving Children: Several classes visit to pack meals for children facing food insecurity.

  • Uncle Pete's Ministries: Students collect and pack sack lunches at home.

  • Halloween Candy Collection: Gathering treats and writing letters for service members overseas.

Faith in Action

Many students actively participate in our parish community by:

  • Serving at Mass: Acting as altar servers, readers, and gift-bearers during weekly and Sunday Masses at Divine Mercy Parish next door.

  • Junior High Volunteers: Assisting at our winter pajama party for younger children and serving as ambassadors during open houses by giving tours and answering questions.

Community Involvement

Students are encouraged to be good neighbors by volunteering at various school and Northshore community events, including:

  • Oktoberfest
  • Sidewalk Sales
  • Fundraising Runs
