Service

At Sacred Heart Northshore we put our faith into action by engaging in a variety of charitable service projects and outreach opportunities throughout the school year.

Each grade leads a unique and age-appropriate service project annually, such as planting for elderly parishioners, collecting coats for families-in-need, or bringing supplies to our sister parish, St. Columbanus.

Several classes travel to Feed My Starving Children to learn about and combat food insecurity by packing meals for less fortunate children, while others collect and pack sack lunches at home for Uncle Pete's Ministries. Many students collect Halloween candy for service members overseas, including handwritten cards and letters to help support and motivate our troops.

Many of our students participate as altar servers, readers, and gift-bearers at Mass during the school week and on Sundays at our Divine Mercy Parish just next door.

Junior High kids volunteer at our winter pajama party, hosted for younger children, and many of our students enjoy serving as ambassadors during open houses - giving tours, answering questions, and sharing all about their experiences at Sacred Heart.

Students are also encouraged to be good neighbors by volunteering for other school and Northshore community events throughout the year including: Oktoberfest, Sidewalk Sales, and fundraising runs.
