Junior Tower Players:

Inspiring Young Performers Since 2007

Founded in 2007 by Mary Michelle Scalise, the Junior Tower Players (JTP) revitalized the original Tower Players, a cherished parish troupe from the 1970s. Mary Michelle envisioned a dynamic theater program for Sacred Heart students, combining the art of performance with the core values of our school.

The mission of JTP is to provide students with a rich theatrical and educational experience in the performing arts, fostering creativity and growth in a supportive environment. Our motto, "where there are no small parts," embodies our belief that every member of a production—whether in the cast, crew, or as a producer—has a crucial role to play. Much like a sports team, theater relies on the collective effort of all involved to achieve success, teaching students that the triumph of the cast is far greater than any individual performance. Indeed, theater is the ultimate team sport!

Participation in JTP not only creates lasting memories but also nurtures essential life skills such as confidence, articulation, imagination, presentation, and teamwork. Beyond the stage, our students learn the value of dedication, gain self-assurance, collaborate effectively with peers and mentors, and embark on a journey of self-discovery, uncovering talents and strengths they never knew they had.

2025-2026 Production: Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits

Open sesame and discover a treasure-trove of fun and laughter as witty writer Craig Hawes gives the timeless tale a twist in this mystical musical comedy! So slip on your sandals for some sandy silliness as we take a thrilling carpet ride with Ali Baba and his crazy camel on an amazing Arabian adventure!

The ancient city of Old Baghdad is in chaos. Whilst the bustling bazaar is overrun with ruthless robbers, up in the palace Sultan Pepper's precious princess and Royal Ruby have vanished! To make matters worse, it seems the poor Sultan cannot trust his own Vizier, Mustapha Widdle, nor his mischievous monkey Booboo. So when Ali Baba discovers the hidden Cave Of Wonders, secret hideout of Balthazar Bongo and his bumbling bandits, it's down to him to save the day! But when his ravenous, tap-dancing camel Humphrey bites off more than he can chew and Ali is accused of royal robbery, his fate seems as sealed as the Cave Of Wonders itself! The Junior Tower Players (JTP) of Sacred Heart School are at it once again, this time with the side-splitting, delightfully laugh-out-loud performance of "Porridge" by London-Based playwright, Craig Hawes - with shows next week at the Winnetka Community House! When a crime wave hits Happy Valley, there's a caseload of mysteries to be solved! Who's stolen Ma Hubbard's recipe book? Who's kidnapped Marigold the cow? And what dirty secret is Mama Bear hiding behind her Porridge empire? It's down to Private Detective Jackie Spratt to uncover the terrifying truth in this tale of mystery, mayhem and breakfast cereal!

Join Jackie, Goldie Locks and a cast of crazy characters including barmy billy goats, loopy lumberjacks, a potty police squad, and a runaway cow in this delightful musical comedy.
