8th Grade Curriculum

8th Grade Curriculum   

The 8th grade will spend two trimesters on physical sciences and the third trimester on anatomy.  Core ideas covered are:

Trimester 1: Physics -- motion, forces, work and machines, energy, electricity and magnetism

Trimester 2: Chemistry --  matter, states of matter, the periodic table, atoms and bonding,  chemical reactions and acid/base solutions.

Trimester 3: Anatomy --skeletal, muscular,  circulatory, endocrine/reproductive and respiratory system
