About Me!
I graduated from Saint Mary’s College at Notre Dame with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a minor
in Early Childhood Education. I am also continuing my education at North Park University, where I am taking graduate-level courses to earn my Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement. I am passionate about continuing to grow as an educator and expanding my ability to support each student's unique learning needs.
Having grown up in Catholic schools, I always knew I wanted to return to a faith-filled school community—this time as a teacher! I truly believe there is something special about Catholic education and am grateful to be part of a school filled with faith, community, and joy.
In my classroom, I strive to create a positive, welcoming, and energetic environment where students feel excited to learn and confident in who they are. I believe learning should be meaningful, engaging, and fun, and I love watching my students grow both academically and personally throughout the year.
I am so grateful to teach 3rd grade and be part of the Sacred Heart family. I look forward to a joyful, faith-filled, and fun year of learning together!

- My name is Gretchen Brauer and I am the new 3rd grade teacher! I am so excited to start my first year of teaching at this wonderful school. I recently graduated from Saint Mary's College at Notre Dame with a B.A. in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I grew up attending Catholic Schools and I can not wait to continue by being a teacher. With my background, I knew I wanted to teach in a catholic school because I think they are amazing and I hope they continue to flourish. Catholic schools provide a strong community regarding the parish and school. I look forward to bringing positivity, enthusiasm, and love every day. With my enthusiasm for teaching, I believe that this will help students want to be learners every day. I am very excited to be teaching 3rd grade and being a part of Sacred Heart's community.
