Math Resource

I am Jeanne Smith and my position at Sacred Heart is Math Specialist.  I graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  I completed my graduate work at Dominican University, with a Master's of Science degree in  Administration.  My professional career has spanned 29 years, working at St. Philip the Apostle, Saints Faith, Hope and Charity and this is my second year at Sacred Heart.  I have taught 2nd grade through 8th and have a special affinity for math.

As the math specialist, I enrich and monitor student classwork.  I am in daily contact with many of the staff members.   We collaborate and discuss long range objectives and short range goals.  I provide learning spaces that afford students a place to take tests and complete homework.  They also have the opportunity to have math facts/concepts clarified in a small group setting.
