Mr. Doug Klatt
Hi! My name is Doug Klatt. I have an undergraduate degree from Loyola University in Chicago, a master’s degree in Spanish and History from the Iberoamerican University in Mexico City with additional studies in music and music education at Vandercook School of Music in Chicago.
Though I am a native of Glenview, Illinois, I spent many years in Houston, Texas developing a music program at the prestigious private school Western Academy. At Western Academy, I taught band, choir, general music and helped develop the innovative theatre program, writing many musicals over the years for the students to perform. I love to compose music and I have always had a real fascination with the mystery of music.
I have been teaching for about 30 years. But I am especially excited to be teaching music this year, bringing my passion for song to the students of Sacred Heart.
