This week you are challenged to create an art parody of a painting or sculpture by a professional artist. Please watch the movie and talk to your parents who have also received the directions. I can't wait to see what you create. 10points + 5 for completing your Artsonia post.

Make a piece of artwork (use the Sketches app, the Art Set app, or your own art supplies at home) that shows your appreciation for Sacred Heart Staff. You could focus on the whole staff or a single teacher or multiple teachers. Post your image and a short message of appreciation on flipgrid. This week you will complete your 4th digital pop painting of your image. Please be sure to rearrange your colors so that your background is different but matches the same 5-6 colors you used prior.

Using your two previous paintings, plan for the way you will color your newest painting. You should have rearrange the colors so your backgrounds are different in all four digital paintings. See the example and the work in progress that shows the three examples on the page together.

This week you will pick a new photo from your collection of 4 photographs of an object. Upload your photo to Sketches and use the same techniques and colors to color over this view of the object. If you need to take a new photo of your object feel free to do so but remember your finished product will be 4 images of the same object. Use any extra time you have this week catching up on late assignments or checking out some of the new art apps on your iPad. There will be no sketchbook assignment this week.

You can use any material for your doodle: paint, pencil, crayons, markers, pastels, charcoal, oil-pastels, collage, or digital graphics. If you choose to do yours on Sketches you have to option of getting credit for Ms.Spooner's class in addition to art. Please talk to Ms. Spooner about her requirements if you choose to work for double-credit. Please watch all the attached videos and attachments. Due date is 2/21. Have a peer take a photo of you in front of the White Screen. Pose using your hands and facial expressions to show an emotion. The picture should be crisp - show eyes and facial features clearly. Crop the photo toinclude only the head and hands and neck - no lower than the collar bone. Edit your photo to make it a crisp black and white photo. Upload and turn it in.
