Heart & Sole FAQs
Who signs students up - parents or teachers? Parents are responsible for signing up their kids and creation of their child's unique fundraising page - for those who remember, the process is very similar to Boosterthon, we've just cut out the third-party middleman.
What are the links I need? (Bulleted links are all clickable) What are my child's individual incentives for fundraising? There are school-wide goals and prizes this year to ensure that the money earned goes straight to where it's needed and not toward cheap tchotchkes that will clutter up the nooks and crannies of your home for years to come.
What is the goal for this fundraising effort? $40,000, which will directly support school programs, events, and resources.
Are strollers allowed on the run/walk? Absolutely! This event is truly for everyone in the family!
Can Teachers/Staff participate? Absolutely! Teachers & Staff are encouraged to participate!
How do we meet the monetary goals - is it from the registration fees? No. Just like Boosterthon in years' past, students should share their fundraising page with family and friends to collect donations in honor of their efforts.
How will we know when we reach a school-wide goal? We will provide weekly updates via Viking Wire and we will also have a big tracker posted outside of the school gym. Teachers will be notified when everyone in their class has signed up so that the class can be informed as well!
What's the deadline to register? There isn't a set deadline, however if you register by October 15th, you will be guaranteed a cool race shirt. After October 15th, we can't promise that.
What are the incremental incentives? This run is not just about raising funds - it's about connecting and growing as a school community - so we have incentives to participate - and we have all-school incentives for reaching fundraising goals.
