About Us

Sacred Heart Northshore is a private Catholic school, located in the quaint and welcoming heart of Winnetka, Illinois and focused on educating the hearts and minds of students from age three through 8th grade. Sacred Heart is a ministry of the Divine Mercy Parish and a member of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Since 1902, Sacred Heart has provided generations of students with an exceptional academic foundation as well as one which is deeply rooted in values, faith, and service.

Our mission is to inspire minds and shape hearts in a faith-filled, supportive community, focusing on the whole child throughout their educational journey - from their earliest years through 8th grade.

Student life extends beyond the classroom with after-school care, enrichment programs, and a teacher-supervised Homework Lab, as well as fine arts, STEAM, and athletic offerings.

Sacred Heart graduates go on to matriculate into exceptional private high schools like Loyola Academy, Lake Forest Academy, and Woodland Academy, and then on to top-tier universities including: Boston College, Harvard, Marquette, Notre Dame, University of Michigan, USC, and Yale.
