Today you are going to be graphing the temperature profile of our atmosphere. It will be a line graph, and I think it is self explanatory.

I will go over the requirements during our Zoom call today at 11:00 am
Today you will read 3.2 Air Pressure and answer the questions in the text (you do not need to share them with me.

After you are done reading, open up the Study Jams! site and watch the video and take the 7 question quiz (push "test yourself"). Share a screen shot of your results with me for a grade (it's OK to take the quiz as many times as you want, I will never know.....)

Happy Tues.! I have a mandatory Zoom call scheduled for 11:00 am; please plan on attending in order to earn your 5 points for participation.

In our virtual lab we will be looking at the affect of atmosphere on pressure and temperature. I will be running a computer simulation and you will collect data. The simulation will not work on the iPad, so I will be running it while sharing my screen with you.

Read the attached document before the Zoom call and come prepared to record data on the data recording sheet.

If you don't attend; I will post the data at 2:00 pm so you can complete the assignment.
Hi Guys -- I'm going to be honest with you, the lesson I was going to plan for today just isn't going to work out, so there will be no graphing activity,

I found this really beautiful short video about our Atmosphere. You will get your 10 points just for watching it (remember I can see if you do or don't through Edpuzzle.
We are starting our next unit on the atmosphere. Today you will read the very short lesson 3.1 The Air Around You and take the Google quiz to show me you read the material.

Since the lesson is so short, I would like for you to share with me your answer to Figure 1 on page 75. You need to indicate which pie chart represents the correct proportions of nitrogen, oxygen and other gases in the atmosphere and properly color the Key and the pie chart (if you don't have colors, you can use codes; for instance: the pie section for nitrogen can be polka dot, while pie section for oxygen is lines.....)
Today you will read an infographic on plastics in the ocean. I put together a question set to go along with the reading (the questions are in order of the information presented to make it easy for you).

I also posted a short video on the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. I did not include any questions, but I will check to make sure you watched it (I do think you will find it iteresting).
