This week you are challenged to create an art parody of a painting or sculpture by a professional artist. Please watch the movie and talk to your parents who have also received the directions. I can't wait to see what you create. 10points + 5 for completing your Artsonia post.

Please submit your final image of all 4 of your paintings in a grid. Your images can be square or rectangle but they must fit together evenly into on large square or one large rectangle. You will receive 10 points for your final image and 5 points for uploading it to Artsonia with a title and artist statement (3 sentences minimum) .

This week you will complete your 4th digital pop painting of your image. Please be sure to rearrange your colors so that your background is different but matches the same 5-6 colors you used prior.

Make a piece of artwork (use the Sketches app, the Art Set app, or your own art supplies at home) that shows your appreciation for Sacred Heart Staff. You could focus on the whole staff or a single teacher or multiple teachers. Post your image and a short message of appreciation on flipgrid https://flipgrid.com/720751b1

Using your two previous paintings, plan for the way you will color your newest painting. You should have rearrange the colors so your backgrounds are different in all four digital paintings. See the example and the work in progress that shows the three examples on the page together.

This week you will pick a new photo from your collection of 4 photographs of an object. Upload your photo to Sketches and use the same techniques and colors to color over this view of the object. If you need to take a new photo of your object feel free to do so but remember your finished product will be 4 images of the same object. Use any extra time you have this week catching up on late assignments or checking out some of the new art apps on your iPad. There will be no sketchbook assignment this week.

We are going to take a break from Pop Art for a week so we can enjoy an Easter art project. Pick one of the three projects presented. Submit a photo of your egg art by 4/20

Post your first of 4 images of your Pop Art Object.

Watch the Paint in Pop video before you begin.
Use your iPad camera to take 4-6 photos of an everyday commercial object.
Use a white background ( white paper, white sheet, white or light colored wall) as a backdrop for your photos.
Crop your picture to show variety in your photos as seen in the Paint in Pop video.
Upload all 4-6 to this dropbox. They can be in color or black & white.

Use last week's issue of Scholastic Art Magazine to complete the quiz. Download the quiz and fill it out manually. Photograph your answer sheet (clearly) and submit.

Complete the review by answering the questions 1-5 in Pages or Word and submitting your answers to Google Classroom. You can also print out the form and take a picture of your response to submit for grading. Please use whatever upload method you are comfortable with. You can use any material for your doodle: paint, pencil, crayons, markers, pastels, charcoal, oil-pastels, collage, or digital graphics. If you choose to do yours on Sketches you have to option of getting credit for Ms.Spooner's class in addition to art. Please talk to Ms. Spooner about her requirements if you choose to work for double-credit. Please watch all the attached videos and attachments. Due date is 2/21. You will not receive credit if your work is not ready to be submitted with all the requirements met.

FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS TO CREATE A ZENTANGLE LEAF BY 11/15

See the Inktober chart and create a pen and ink drawing for the prompt for each day you are in art class. You will use pen, nib, and india ink for your design. Each sketchbook entry is worth 5pts. Incomplete designs should be finished by October 31st.

Pick up an Inktober Sketch Sheet & Line Sample Paper
Find Your Sketchbook in your JH Box
Grab a Dip Pen & Ink from The Supply Table
Create a Drawing based on the prompt for todays date on the INktober Calendar - In Google Classroom.
Be gentle with your dip pen.
Be careful with the permanent India Ink!
Wash and dry your dip pen and return ink to supply table.
Due on the Last day of class in October - 5 POINTS per Sketch

Have a peer take a photo of you in front of the White Screen. Pose using your hands and facial expressions to show an emotion. The picture should be crisp - show eyes and facial features clearly. Crop the photo toinclude only the head and hands and neck - no lower than the collar bone. Edit your photo to make it a crisp black and white photo. Upload and turn it in.
